FY 2009 Business Plan
Our activities continues in fiscal 2009 and our second year, inherited the results of the 2008 fiscal year. We will modify or enhance content and application based on a current generation PHS and wireless technology. We will expand the network system for a foreign language translation(voice and character). In addition, our video distribution server for "XGP" (next-generation PHS) with which we can share a video in real time.
The current plan is to set experimental base stations for XGP in Uzumasa District in Kyoto. Then, around Feb. 2010, we will have test multifunction devices and multi-functional server system to help foreign tourists go around, which we have continued to develop and construct. The test will be held in TOEI KYOTO STUDIO PARK and around there, where we had the test last year.
Content of development and tes is as follows. The first one is a speech translation system to assist foreign visitors (with Chinese, Japanese) experiments. The second is a guide service system remotely using a newly developed Real-time video sharing system.

1.Based on Feb. 2009 empirical results, we improve our market survey software, multi-language translation software and content for tourists.
2. We will expand the network system for foreign language translation for corresponding to XGP. And it will be verified the functionality.
3. About speech translation, we will improve "Japanese and English speech translation system" and corresponds to the translation from Japanese to Chinese.
4. "Real-time guide service system with devices corresponding to XGP and video servers" with which we and foreign tourists can share video while sightseeing, can be developed. And we will validate it.
