Announcement of our demonstration and test
Kyoto Indutrial Support Organization 21
In FY 2009, Kyoto Industrial Support Organization 21 directs and INTAGE Inc., TOEI KYOTO STUDIO Co.Ltd.,, National Institute of Information and Communications Technology, Advanced Telecommunications Research Institute International Co.ltd.,, JTB Business World Tokyo Corp., WILLCOM.Inc. and NEC corporation support this project. It's "8 companies collaborative research project".
We will have a test of "Foreign visitors guide system" and "multi-lingual speech translation system" with WILLCOM CORE XGP, which is provided by WILLCOM.INC and can offer high-speed wireless data services up to 20Mbps. Detail is as following;

① trial capacity of the system in remote guide foreign visitors
② Demonstration of multilingual speech translation system (Chinese, Japanese Conversation)
[Tester]
Approximately 20 people (English, Chinese, etc.)
① Plan for Navigation system for foreign visitors
We will rent foreign visitors WILLCOM CORE XGP communication card, a laptop PC, and a head-mounted camera. And they will have remote guide service between them and a counseling center staff.
② Image of multilingual speech translation system
Assumed to be used at restaurants and shops while traveling, we will test our mobile devices with multilingual (Japanese, English, and Chinese) translation system and guide software. Multilingual speech translation will be speedy processed with WILLCOM CORE XGP high-speed communication.
